- Select a strategy to run on a NinjaTrader 7 chart
- If using Super Renko or other Hybrid Custom Renko Bars use the "MTDS On Close" Historical Fill type
- Configure the Robot & Run the test on historical data, if the settings are viable for you save them
Save a template of the settings and use this in all your testing - use the NinjaBuddy Menu to save and load settings
- Save these settings as the "default settings template" - with the strategy on a chart - press ctrl + S - the strategy list pops up - select the running strategy and right click the parameters and click "save the default settings" - now when you load a chart with a new strategy it will use this strategy templates
- Conduct a realtime sim test paper trading the market, start with the strategy autotrading off/unchecked and refresh the chart so that no historical trades exist on the chart- then switch on autotrading, using the ninjabuddy top right "Auto" = Checked, Long = Checked, Short = Checked
- When you are ready you can then create a new chart and add the same robot from #9 to that new chart and then configure the live account, the system will not start until you click Auto=Checked - trade the sim model too and the live and you can compare the results to see the efficiency - against the base line of historical backtest, sim realtime and live trading - results are effected by: slippage, liquidity, latency, broker connection and internet quality, proximity to the exchange, computer speed etc
