MT2 for NinjaTrader 6.5
Hello;
About a year ago I bought the MT2 system for NinjaTrader 6.5. I liked the system and used the default settings with limit orders to trade the ES market and the results were surprisingly good. Since then my computer changed with a new machine ID and now I use NinjaTrader7.
The MT2 for NinjaTrader7 is now a different product and a user guide is still in the works so I do not know how to set it up. Can you let me know when a user guide for MT2 will be available or if you can suggest settings to make it trade like the old MT2 for NinjaTrader6.5?
Thank you,
Ernie
Hi Ernie
Yes I remember you moved from Bluewave Trading so you can take advantage of the open parameters and transaparency offered by the MicroTrends strategies allowing you to fully control the strategy etc.
I apologise for the confusion. The essential components have been ported from 6.5 to 7 are still utilised in the MT2. However It has undergone a modular break down of funcitonality grouped into system methods. single cross, double cross, triple cross and trend line rejections - wit variants of how that is traded and mixed together. constraints identify areas where price has to close at or penetrate and then close to aftewards.
The MT2 has been broken into an indicator and a strategy to host the indicator. There are some templates available for download which demonstrate some of the modes.
Currently it looks all very complicated to non techy users, so that is no good, I need to simplify the new MT2 - i will be imlementing visual areas and parameters that assist that visualisation to make it intuitive to use so i am currenlty working on antoher release to achieve this.
So this means due to the state of flux it is in it will be better to wait for the latest verision immenent release next week.
I will be better placed then to obtatin settings to mimic your initial default settings. It may simply be a case of setting default to crossover with a trend line rejection and altering the movinge averagess
