error when backtesting strategy - Object not set

Hi Tom,

I try to backtest any of the strategies available like MT2 but don't get any
results

On the graph is a message:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object

What does it mean and what setting do I have to adjust to backtest MT2
strategy for example?

Sorry you are experiencng trouble. We are in the process of writing a walktrough and support guide website for the products.

Can you send in any error logs for me to see, you can attach it to your reply message:
My Documents\MicroTrends\NinjaTrader 7\log\

I would need steps to replicate what you are doing to answer what is going wrong and why the message was displayed.

When you say backtest:
Do you mean on a chart looking at historical trades?
What timeseries, instrument and parameters are you using?

Maybe if i look in the log i can tell you from there.

Can you confirm what version of the framework you have installed?

BACKTEST
Ok i can see you have the latest and i can see the error.
for the backtest settings - make sure you set in the general settings
MT Show Easy Trader = False

ON CHART ERROR
If you go to your Ninja Control Panel, licenses
Refresh licenses.

I have switched off the license modules.
No license messages are required yet as it is not offically released.

You can switch to sim101 as the account that may resolve it, as going forwards some strats will warn about needing a license to trade on a live account with.

The error message relates to license modules.
We need to delete the license file is the above does not work.
