Hi
I was very shocked to see that in your File MTNFF7.Setup.exe (downloaded last year in July) there was a Trojan.
I will be contacting Ninjatraders about that.

Subject: [MicroTrends Help Desk] Re: MicroTrends Framework Strategies - Easy Trader
Hi
Thank you for your feedback and concern.
If you have obtained the software from MicroTrends websites then you can rest assured it contains no virus. If you have obtained a hacked copy from one of the pirate website - that offer hacked software - they may also contain viruses as your reward for its use. So be warned do not use hacked software.
If you have downloaded an official version from MicroTrends, then your suggested report can be easily be explained as before, it's due to using overzealous Antivirus programs which incorrectly reach a conclusion - regarding the installer and its contents. This is also down to a lack of user knowledge and is understood by NinjaTrader developers and technical users. So far around 2/3 users have inaccurately reported the same thing, either preventing downloads or installation on their PC.
The Framework installer deploys NinjaTrader indicators and strategies to your local PC, also some other dependencies such as the control panel. The process is 100% safe and private.
Our installation software is code signed and the contents compiled and obfuscated, it also contains and deploys a NinjaTrader archive that contains a loose .cs file MicroTrendsNinjaTraderFramework7.cs , within the zip file MicroTrendsNinjaTraderFramework7.zip which is a vital part of the NinjaTrader import process, and is compiled into NinjaTrader. It is this file no doubt that your AV is alerting you about.
The only options you have is to disable the AV or replace it with a mainstream AV program, from Symantec, Trend Micro or Microsoft.
Perhaps you would be so kind to take a moment to detail what AV you are using, what you were doing when you got the message and what the report is. So then at least we can post it for the public to see.
If you are intending to post your findings to NinjaTrader or forums, perhaps you could be so kind to also provide them with a link to this post.
No doubt NinjaTrader will warmly assist you and provide the same information as the above.
Regarding all software for NinjaTrader If you are unsure then please seek relevant independent NinjaTrader professional advice or simply click away and do not install.
