Microtrends/NinjaTrader/SharkIndicatorsBLOODHOUND
Originally from ticket #2516.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm reviewing the MicroTrends Framewok (MT) for Ninjatrader, looking to
couple it with strategies developed inside of the SharkIndicators Blood
Hound product (BH). I note from your forum and from BigMikes Trading Forum
that it is possible to link your product and BH, where BH may be used to
provide entry and/or exit logic that maybe read by MT and then have MT exit
and trade management functionality employed to manage trades (of course MT
can be used for all of the above in isolation). I have a few questions
regarding Microtrends for NinjaTrader that I would like answered if
possible please. I've listed them below:
1. Can MT work with any bar type installed in NinjaTrader including user
developed bars? For example UniRenko?
2. Is it possible once a signal to enter a trade is provided by BH to
pass a limit order at a level based on, for example, the close of the last
bar? That is, does MT support all the order types and can they be set at
levels like close of prior bar?
3. Can the limit order, if not filled, be cancelled after a specified
time (I'm assuming strategy logic can cause cancellation too)?
4. Once a trade is entered, can BH exit logic be employed AS WELL as MT
trade management?
5. Can MT handle multiple strategies being run on NinjaTrader at once?
And can a different management strategy be applied to each strategy?
6. Is it possible to "double down" on a strategy, or add units to a
strategy on a second or third signal and have MT manage the additional lots?
7. If an "add on" has occurred is it possible to alter the exit orders?
For example, suppose a long position has been triggered and the position
is long three lots, being manged with three profit targets by MT and MT
stop logic. Then an ALLOWABLE second order is signaled. Can the profit
target and stop levels be reset or adjusted to reflect the new average
price of the trade? Or another example would be that orders change such
that a new exit order for the original trade is applied at it's entry price
and a new three profit targets based on the second entry order are applied?
Thank you in advance,
Michael Cooper

Yes 1 per strategy - add a new instance for each.6. Is it possible to "double down" on a strategy, or add units to a
