Compiler errors after latest update MTNTF 7.0.1.65
PinnedHi Tom,
hope all is well.
Thank you very much for the update, new features sound great!
This update killed my NT license and I had to re-enter it, subsequently getting notice to recompile indicators (as you have advised to do in the installation instructions).
Once I tried to recompile, I got a whole list of compiler errors.
I returned VM to previous state, and now back to original "pre- update" state.
Just like last time, I suspect the update didnt go in the correct folder.
The instructions say "make sure it goes into Ninja 7 folder", which can be ambiguous, as there is ninja7 folder in "my documents" and I believe in the "program files" as well?
Could you tell me the correct path for the install so I can give this another try?
Thank you
Alex

All goes wrong after install

BloodhoundIf you have Bloodhound installed it will corrupt the installation as it puts an entry in the ninjatrader config.xml file that cannot be saved by the .net xml document class.
So you will lose all your indicators and files etc... due to the lost references and corrupt config.xml file
So its important to backup the config.xml file before installation. Then copy it back over the one that is corrupted by the installer error - after installation.
Documents\NinjaTrader 7\config.xml
If it is a first time installation you will need to manually add the reference to the MTFramework via - Control center > File > Utilities > Edit Script > Select any indicatorThen in the code editor window - right click > References > Add > browse and select the microtrendsninjatraderframework7.dll
Now you can compile the script - hit f5
Please let me know if the resolves your situation.
