NinjaTrader has errors preventing import or removal of a NinjaTrader Assembly
Originally from ticket #3066.
Hi,
I have a problem with NinjaTrader that the Ninja support desk identifies as
being on account of MicroTrends cs files and/or assemblies. Please read in
the email below the steps I have taken to try to solve the problem and give
me your best suggestions.
I removed the MicroTrends Program using Windows > Programs > Uninstall or
Change, then restarted NinjaTrader and the error still exists. Please see
attached screenshot showing the programs still installed along with the
continuing errors.
To dig a little further I closed NinjaTrader, opened Windows Explorer and
did a search on Microtrends then deleted all files associated with that
word. After that I restarted my computer to flush out any residual
references then restarted Windows and NinjaTrader, but when I open the
script editor and edit any indicator the same errors get generated.
I can't run in Ninja the "Remove NinjaScript Assembly" because of the
indicator issue so am wondering whether there are some residual files such
as the "cs" files that haven't been removed. I looked into doing this
manually as there are lots of cs files in various sub-directories but they
look like they're associated with many other add-ins. How can I be sure to
get rid of all the "accompanying cs files?
What else can I do to get this working?
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi,
To help further track down the issue, here is another screenshot showing
some of the cs files that look like they're associated with MicroTrends
even though the program MicroTrends has been removed with Windows >
Programs > Uninstall.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi
#1 Please provide a screen shot of your directoy
"\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom"
If you believe the error was related to the MT Framework removal.
Please check the Framework was removed from this location: "\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom"
microtrendsninjatraderframework7.dll
microtrendsninjatraderframework86.dll
microtrendsninjatraderframework64.dll
microtrendsninjatraderframework7.cs
You will need to stop NinjaTrader and delete any of the above files if the installer for some reason was blocked from removing them.
#3 - Reinstall MT Framework with all options test
If the issue is caused by the an unsuccessful removal of he MT Framework = you can re-install it with all options -
Please see here:
https://microtrends.zendesk.com/entries/69139966-MTNTF7-installing-to-windows
then perform the post install test - and if ok - remove or leave it. Please remove via the windows control panel.
If not ok then likely you have other errors on your PC that need fixing caused by some other scenario.
#4 Errors on your PC - with NinjaTrader

Please provide a clearer shot of the issue - and the custom directory
Please let us know if you have further questions
many thanks
