question on Session Stop Cash
Originally from ticket #2374.
On the MTDS MA crossover strategy, If I set
Strategy Money Management Mode=1
Session Stop Cash = 280
for the CL contract and I use a 16 tick stop ($160) ...after one position is stopped at $160 and a second position is headed toward the second stop of $160,
does the strategy close the position at exactly a combined loss of $280 ( based on the Session Stop Cash ) or does the strategy wait for the full stop to be
hit a second time for an additional $160, which will be a total loss of $320, and then close the position because the combined dollar amount has exceeded $280?
Thanks very much.
Dave Dean
As soon as you hit the amount it will close the trade and lock the session so now new trades are processed..
There is an update out today hopefully which has improved the algo - the current version sometimes unlocks for trading at the wrong time after a money target has been hit
