MT Double Shot Strategy Foundation

Hi Tom,

hope you are fine!

as a big MT fan and owner of the Framework I finally also checked MT Double Shot Foundation and have some questions.

Basically I'm about to start with renko bars, ATR strategy (like the median ATR strategy a lot), 10-20 ticks target, daily targets and proper timing.

1) is the NinjaBuddy Chart Trader still the better choice concerning overfills (unmanaged mode) etc. to start with?

2) What I like is the immediate exit when reaching the daily target, I think this is currently only possible with NinjaBuddy?

3) Will I be able to add e.g. a momentum filter (SMI, don't buy about 60, don't sell below 60 and slope) ? I already wrote some Ninja-Code.

Great to hear - the MTDS was really a prototype for an engine to replace the MT Framework and i am still doing that with a 4 bracket engine.
And will trim off some excess features that are not really needed.

MTDS was purpose built as a strategy library/API -

1.MTDS is lightweight and does not suffer from overfills - yes
2.Yes Goals are more controllable in MTDS
3. Check the Trade Filters sections - but yes you can extend the MTDS with custom trade filters if you write your own strategy that includes rules + filters
If you look at the open source SDKs you can save your own copy and add those filters

Please note coding takes the form of rising( _indicator.EMA(10))
usage of the proxy object _indicator.SMI(....) or NT will go bang due to some cross threading issues.
