Automatic ATM

Originally from ticket #3261.

I want to know the exact functions of the the 4 ATM orders in the Automatic ATM.
Besides check off the ATM box, is there a more reliable way to discontinue the ATM? Because it keeps rechecking the box.

What has 4 functions?

You are looking at the MTDS NinjaBuddy ATM group of controls.

Those are buttons you click you cannot adjust a button setting.
You can only use the mouse to move the mouse pointer to hover over a button then you click the left mouse button - to click the button. The button will then trigger an action as described on its text.

Those buttons work only in Realtime during a trade.
They pe-empt the settings in the configuration for the relevant parameter groups.
For stop breakeven or trail trigger

So you can trigger the breakeven or trail trigger if it is set to say 10ticks at 4 ticks if you wanted to by clicking the button

The other buttons are Stop trail functions to move the stop into the bar high/low or by a %

Configuration Examples

To set any setting you must modify the parameters
Click the settings button :: at the top left of the Ninjabuddy on the left of Templates

to see the settings - Then modify the parameter and click restart and note the results

MANUAL SAMPLE

Here is a sample for trying manually with the Woodies Chart Trader or a robot as you wish.

STOP LOSS= 18
STOP LOSS CALC MODE= 0

Move to breakeven -10 ticks at 8 ticks of profit

BE TRIGGER = 8
BE OFFSET = -10
BE TRIGGER CALC MODE=0
BE OFFSET CALC MODE =0

Trail Stop Mode 0:Off, 1 Low/High 2:Prev Low/High, 3:Price, 4:ATR Median, 5:ATR Median Bands Low/High

at 12 ticks of profit trigger the trailing stop to trail by 12
TRAIL TRIGGER = 12
TRAIL STOP TYPE = 3 - trail by price
TRAIL TRIGGER CALC MODE= 0
TRAIL STOP OFFSET =12
TRAIL STOP OFFSET CALC MODE

at 15 ticks of profit trigger the trailing stop to trail by an offset of 10 away from the ATR Median Bands Low/High
TRAIL TRIGGER = 15
TRAIL STOP TYPE = 5 - ATR
TRAIL TRIGGER CALC MODE= 0
TRAIL STOP OFFSET =10
TRAIL STOP OFFSET CALC MODE
